This Thing Called Love

Good morning, this thing we call love is one of the most powerful forces of nature. We don’t understand but we still live through it trying to embrace it. We struggle at times to take a hold of it but it always seems to take hold of us. Love is like a living creature that has to be nurtured for it to grow or it will die before it’s time. If overdone it can also be a waste of time. Love is fragile yet strong. It is one of the most complex things in this world. Always an unanswered question arises. The pain caused and the joy shared. This thing we call love has a mind of its own. Love can be cold and one-sided or warm and blind. We settle and compromise for love but love doesn’t do the same. Love speaks many languages that we do not all speak. Love comes in many sizes and shapes, a jigsaw puzzle we cannot piece together. All in all we fail to see that we give love the characteristics it possesses. We create it and kill it. We possess the key but cannot find the door. Learning within yourself how to love yourself creates a window for someone else to love you as well. Do not settle because love will not make that same compromise. Stand your ground with love and find happiness within the strength you possess. Grow with love not against it or without it. If you are unhappy and don’t love yourself, the relationships you bestow will compliment such. Love should compliment your existence. There’s a game to love that most don’t know how to play and some don’t want to. There’s a song playing but no one can hear the beat. Have fun and dance. Let go, love shouldn’t be so hard. If it’s too hard then it’s wrong. If it has that balance of sugar and spice, then that’s just right. It should feel natural not forced. It should be challenging but not complicated. It should make your toes curl, your stomach flutter and your hands sweat. Play the game, dance to the beat and fall for love, real love that wreck less love.
