Complacent Growth
Good morning, stuck in our ways we are complacent. We believe we are growing but yet we make no change. We are at a standstill because we have become comfortable. Growth as an individual is not the same as growing in a career. Learning from your past and dwelling on it has become one in the same when they are two different concepts to be applied. Learning from your past means giving the next a chance even though you are cautious and not making them pay for the previous mistakes. Dwelling is not giving each the equal opportunity we strive to look for in life. Facing situations as they arise instead of swiping them under the rug and walking away is growth within itself. Walking away as if it is known the reason or should be assumed is selfish and complacent. A man faces the giant even in fear but a coward buckles at the knees and runs the other way. We all have to fall to learn how to get back up even when we don’t want to fall. The objective is not to allow the fall to be detrimental to your future and the interactions that will come. We will fall regardless because that is how life presents itself as we grow. There is no perfection to life that we can gain. We are flawed from the beginning and will continue on a path self-destructive the more we fight the internal growth we need to become successful in life. Whether we believe it or not we do not completely know ourselves to know how we will be in the future. We have to grow to learn of ourselves. If we believe that we will be the same in our future as today then we have no plans of growing and making ourselves better. It takes more than a lifetime to completely identify who we are and where we’re going. We will die trying to come to the conclusion but while we live strive for growth beyond control so that each day we learn something new about ourselves to give us a brighter tomorrow.
