Content of Creed
Good afternoon, we are judged by the pigmentation in our skin. When the pigmentation is other than the one we see in our household we are skeptical and defensive. We shun differences visible to the common eye. We do not recognize the judgment we place on the surface instead of digging deeper. Yet, when the like complexion becomes too much of a challenge, we lighten the tone and find weakness to govern. Now we can run amongst the skins without a word. The spit fire is uncontrollable so we travel in a different direction. Has this become the stereotypical aim we gain? Or has it shown truth in the world we live? Truth be told, there is some truth to it as we see this happen every day. But can we honestly live our lives with stereotypes and judgments that we forget to see the individuals that are behind the first layer. Is it wrong to find comfort in the arms that don’t match, no? But if the fire is too hot with a counterpart that doesn’t mean it will be any easier with the opposing. We fall short of finding true connections going in with the wrong intentions. The pigmentation in our skin should not be our judgment but the inner core and substance. Many of us would not exist without the intertwining of the spectrum. Scared of the obvious is a complacent coward to which the judgment is really placed on themselves. Significant measure of substance would design a different creed for us to follow.
