Good morning, we struggle as a nation but in the time of tragedy we come together as a world class philanthropist. We stretch our arms around the world to help mend what we cannot see. A nation so rich but yet poor, we need to give back the life that once existed with our materials that we believe gives us status but are so frivolous. Share the wealth of love and pour into the souls of those less fortunate. Enrich their soils again with laughter and pride. Rescue them from the devastation that has crossed their path without warning. Bring a sense of hope to show an uplifting spirit across the world and melt cold hearts to give in this time of need. We don’t feel the need until it hits us directly but will it be too late to receive when we have ignored the world around us struggling each day? Direct hit or not we are all affected. Losing one part of the earth is like losing an arm or leg. Culture unlike ours is so significant to embrace and not just in this time of tragedy. Existence should not be ignored because you cannot see it everyday. Wake up; take a moment to realize how lucky you are to live amongst a privileged nation with so much to offer. Dr King once said, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is: what are you doing for others?" Can you answer that with modest humility and feel good about your answer?
Please take a moment today and give $5 to Haiti by texting “YELE” to 501501. Help someone else so when tragedy does strike home we are helped with the same heart.
